Men-Tsee-Khang, the Tibetan Medical and Astrological Institute of H.H. the Dalai Lama, is a not-for-profit organization in India. It provides free education to its medical and astrological students. It also provides free medicine to Tibetans over the age of 65, to recent escapees from Tibet during their first 6 months in exile and to poor people identified by the Home Department of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile. Free consultations and a 50% discount on medicines is also given to monks, nuns and students. Men-Tsee-Khang often conducts free medical camps in poor Indian villages.
