Understanding Daily Life

Even if you do something without anyone knowing it, that is actually not the case. The moment that action is performed, you already know what you did so it is stored in your mind computer, and via your JuInGong, which is connected to every single thing, it is already known everywhere. There is nothing that is hidden.

The working of the mind can be compared to a giant computer. Every moment, speech, action, and thought are stored and recorded without exception. It is stored and it will come back someday. The law of cause and effect is without exceptions. You receive exactly what you have thought, said and done. How can anyone not act cautiously?

Do not look for the Buddha teachings outside of your daily life. The Buddha teachings are the teaching of reality and the teaching of life. Instead of looking for some special method or practice, you should try to understand the teachings in daily life, in your actions, whether you are eating, sleeping or walking. The Buddha is not only in a Dharma hall, but in our living rooms, kitchen, and place of work. Practicing in daily life is true practice and true living.

Living together, eating together is the Way. All are already living in this state of sharing and living together. Even if you are not thankful for or do not understand the teachings, if you understand and live life in accord with these principles, then all of your footsteps are footsteps of repentance and salvation.

If you think that the kindness of your parents who have given you life and raised you is insignificant then how will you ever understand the teachings?

Any study without compassion is incomplete. Going beyond your own personal gain and comfort, and not excluding even a single blade of grass is the mind that is at One with the teachings.

All good and bad things that happen to me occur because I was born. It is all there because I am here. Therefore do not blame others. Even if someone bothers you, take it as what you did and let it go back to JuInGong with firm belief that only JuInGong can solve it. In the fundamental place of JuInGong, you and other people are not separate, and that is where you must be able to connect with them.

Do not see anybody else as being high or low. See them evenly or equally, without conferring any high and low status. See them as your own body and your own situation. Never disparage others or see them as insignificant. See everyone and everything as the manifestations of the Buddha.

Even if someone may seem than you, even if someone looks foolish, let go of your emotion and see them with an empty mind. In this long process of your evolution, you have also at one point or another been in similar situations. See them in terms of yourself in the past. JuInGong is teaching you in such situations as well.

If I do not love, then even microorganisms and blades of grass do not love me. How can anything respond if my mind is not reaching out to them?

Unless you abandon your conceit and egotism, which gives rise to the concept of you can never be of One Mind (Han-Ma-Um) with others. The mind of embracing everything is the mind of Bodhisattvas.

All lives are equal. The only difference between the life of an ant and the life of a human being is their level of existence. People harm and kill other living beings even when they are not threatened. We must honor and value even the smallest being. Like humans, they also hate pain and suffering. You might be born as a human now but in the process of evolution you were also once a small and insignificant being, so how can you treat these lives cruelly? All lives are equal.

When you treat the body of all living beings as your own body, how can the pain and suffering of others not be your pain and suffering? Such a mind is the mind of Bodhisattvas and has true merit. When I become you and you become me, that is when this does not stick out, and true benevolence then becomes possible.

It is by this one thought that you can avoid being poor, and it is with this one thought that you can cure your illness. The mind does not have any form or shape, thus it can easily embrace the entire universe and still have room for more. When you think one thought correctly, it becomes Dharma, it becomes medicine, and it becomes energy. You can validate this through the study of mind.

In as much as someone seeks wealth, they stray from the Way. Be a person who freely manages wealth, rather than a person who is controlled by wealth. For those who are slaves to wealth, as the wealth increases it becomes more and more of a burden that ultimately crushes them.
