About the Teachings of the Buddha

Buddha taught that we all have the right and potential to become a Buddha. Consequently, it is wrong for someone to think, how can a person like me become a Buddha Such thoughts prevent people from experiencing the true taste of the teachings.

A lot of fame, wealth, education or ability does not make a True person. Even without these things, when someone gains the true understanding of the Buddha's teachings, that person is said to be a True person.

Once you understand the teachings, becoming even the president of a country wouldn¡t mean much to you. Why? Because you are the owner of both worlds, going freely back and forth between the material world and the invisible world. Becoming the president of a country seems insignificant in comparison. It is fortunate that the Buddha¡s teachings are not hard to understand. Thankfully, there are no high and low steps in learning the Buddha¡s teachings. Despite their simplicity, there are many who have studied them for 10 or 20 years and say that they still do not understand. This is why it is so important to learn how to practice correctly.

Studying the teachings is about studying yourself and the way you do this is by entrusting yourself to your origin and foundation, the JuInGong. What we normally consider to be me¡ is not our True Self.

The reason the Buddha taught that all living beings are fundamentally equal is because everyone has Buddha Nature in them. My Buddha Nature is the same as that of Sakyamuni Buddha of 2500 years ago. We can all become Buddha.

Buddha Nature is truth, which exists everywhere in the universe. All existing living beings arose from the Buddha Nature. All the universe is One and all living beings are One.

The root of the universe does not differ from our own root. From the common source, we are said to be One, and of One Mind, Han-Ma-Um. All beings and existence are directly connected to the same root, so we are always One Mind.

All the minds of the Bodhisattvas are my One Mind, Han-Ma-Um, and the teachings of all the Bodhisattvas describe the principles that guide my life.

Buddhism therefore is not a specific religion. It is beyond what we refer to as religion. It is beyond any words, it is the teaching of truth itself. Anyone who follows the Buddha's teachings must not rely on any outward marks or signs if they want to understand the true and correct meaning. Catholicism, Protestantism, and all other religions are the same in front of the Truth.
