This temple was founded in 1992 in Uptown Chicago. We follow the Pure Land tradition, which was founded in China, about the fifth century. Pure Land stresses faith in the power and compassion of Amitabha Buddha. We also practice meditation. Sunday services are held from noon until 2 P.M., and meditation practice is held daily from 11 a.m. until noon.
